Today was the last day of Ellis's 3rd grade class, and thus his last day at Concord Hill School. The graduation ceremony was very nice, although perhaps a bit overblown. Is it possible to have too much self-esteem? I think we'll find out when our kids hit adulthood in about 15 years. Families seem to revolve around their children these days. It's an embarrassment of riches, but I shouldn't complain (especially since I'm as guilty of over-indulging my kids as anyone).
I didn't get any good pictures, but my dad was there clicking merrily away. Here's a nice one of me and Helen at the "reception" afterwards. I got that haircut from a new barber at the nearby shop yesterday. What are you supposed to do when you can tell that a haircut is going bad? I tend to keep my lips zipped and hope that it will end quickly. I don't want to point out the problem, because the barber will probably just make it worse trying to fix it. Plus with my wiry bush of hair, the difference between a good and bad cut is mostly theoretical.
