The basement cleanup effort continues.
Here you can see our once-finished, now unfinished, soon to be refinished basement. Ellis rides the exercise machine in the foreground. (I've set up Anson's old highchair so I can put the laptop on it to watch a DVD while exercising. Having the player nearby is necessary because we no longer have access to a pair of headphones with a cord longer than my arm. Also, there's an old t-shirt under the machine to keep it balanced because the floor is now uneven.) In the middle of the room, you can see that the "water mitigation" people have plastic-wrapped the basement furniture, including several now-unusable bookshelves in the back. The rug has been pulled up revealing ancient linoleum tile, and the water-damaged portions of the walls have been removed like bad teeth.
Fun, fun, fun.
